Teaching and Learning Certificate Program

Residents are given the option to participate in a Teaching and Learning Certificate Program while developing advanced teaching and mentoring skills through an affiliated college of pharmacy.

Preceptor and Collaborative Experience

Residents will also gain experience serving in a preceptor role for pharmacy students on rotation at Erlanger, under the supervision of an experienced preceptor. Pharmacy residents will learn to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals including physician and nursing staff.  The Erlanger Department of Pharmacy maintains strong relationships with other healthcare professionals within our system, fostered by daily interactions in a multidisciplinary rounding model.  Additional opportunities for the PGY1 resident to provide formal and informal education to physician and nursing staff, working with established UT College of Medicine pharmacist faculty members exist throughout the program.
