Lynn DeJaco has almost 40 years of financial and auditing experience. She has worked as an audit and tax manager with one of the big four accounting firms, director of internal audit, network development and vice president of business development. She was previously responsible for all financial and strategic matters for FirstHealth of the Carolinas including the long term strategic plan and execution to drive system financial and strategic performance. She also executed successful planning and management of evolving payment models including a provider owned health plan with commercial and Medicare Advantage, provider-based reimbursement, CMS Bundled Payments for Care Improvement, and other reimbursement strategies providing significant revenue gains for the system.

She earned her bachelors’ in business administration from the University of North Carolina. She then continued her education at UNC where she earned her Masters of Public Administration. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, American Health Lawyers Association, Accountable Care Learning Collaborative, Healthcare Executive Advisory Board, American College of Healthcare Executives, and numerous civic and board advisory positions. She has held several positions in various boards including StarFirst Insurance Captive, FirstCarolinaCare Insurance Company, FirstImaging LLC, Southern Pines Diagnostic, HealthNC+, and Surgery Center of Pinehurst Properties. She is a past committee member of the North Carolina Healthcare Association Finance Committee and past Chair for Committee on Trustees, Executive and Finance Committees for The O’Neal School Board of Trustees.
