Jeff Woodard serves as Senior Vice President and the Chief Legal Officer of Erlanger as well as Corporate Secretary. Having previously served as the Director of Risk Management and Staff Attorney at Erlanger, his primary areas of expertise include corporate governance, ethics, litigation, risk, risk financing, and associated operational and transactional aspects of the health care delivery process.

Previous to that, Jeff served as General Counsel and Director of Risk Management at Hutcheson Medical Center in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. Before that, he was a litigator in private practice in Northwest Georgia.

Jeff graduated summa cum laude from Berry College and cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law. While in law school, he served as Articles Editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property Law. He is currently admitted to practice law in both Tennessee (2010) and Georgia (2002). Jeff is a member of the American Health Law Association.
