About / Overview

I was born and raised in Orlando, FL. I am a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon, a natural choice, given my up-bringing. My father is a pediatrician and my grandfather a house builder. I spent my summers building houses with my grandfather, learning to love building things and working with tools. After getting to medical school, I fell in love with orthopaedic surgery and knew that my background had prepared me well for my career.

I enjoy all aspects of pediatric orthopaedics, especially scoliosis, hip dysplasia, and sports injuries. The challenge of treating a growing child with a deformity is exciting because I have to be creative in my treatment to achieve the ultimate goal of a straight, well-balanced child at the end of growth. I also take great pleasure in meeting families and getting to know them. I understand that the family unit is not only affected by a child's orthopaedic problem, but the family has a huge part to play in helping the child return to full health.

I am married to my wonderful wife, Heather, and we have three children. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and being active. I especially enjoy basketball, mountain biking, Crossfit, snow skiing, and wakeboarding.
