John A. “Jad” Dorizas is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who treats active patients and athletes, as well as other patients who have painful sports medicine conditions or painful shoulders or knees.
Dr. Dorizas specializes in Sports Medicine and arthroscopic management of a broad spectrum of shoulder, knee and other sports related injuries. He strives to integrate his faith in Christ through excellence, service and compassion in his care for patients.
In addition to serving patients at Erlanger Orthopaedics, Dr. Dorizas provides orthopaedic sports medicine coverage for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Lee University, Bryan College, and Covenant College. He also assists in the teaching and training of resident physicians for the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, and is among the staff of orthopaedic surgeons operating at Erlanger East.
Dr. Dorizas currently serves as Orthopaedic Sports Medicine provider for the University of TN-Chattanooga, Covenant College, Lee University, and Bryan College. He is the team physician for ACI Motorsports, a local Porsche racing team that won the past two season championships in PCA Club Racing. Dr. Dorizas also participates as a driver in high performance driving events in Atlanta, Bowling Green, Birmingham and other tracks around the Southeast.
