Ethan Matz, MD, is a reconstructive urologist with Erlanger Urology. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in religion at George Washington University in Washington, DC, and remained there for medical school. He completed urology residency training at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston Salem, NC. While there, he completed basic and translational science research in erectile dysfunction. After residency he completed a fellowship in urologic trauma, reconstruction, and prosthetics at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX.
Dr. Matz’s clinical practice focuses on the surgical management of urologic trauma, reconstruction, and genitourinary prosthetic. His particular interest is in urethral reconstruction for urethral stricture, penile curvature (Peyronie’s Disease), and genital plastic surgery (including buried penis repair). He is trained in urologic trauma management and reconstruction. He offers traditional open procedures as well as minimally invasive and robotic approaches.
