About / Overview
Dr. Sapp returned to practice in his hometown of Pikeville, TN, in 2007. He has deep roots in Pikeville - his mother’s family (Hankins) moved to Bledsoe County in 1803, while his Sapp relations moved to the area in 1810. Dr. Sapp is a 1992 BCHS graduate and lived in Bledsoe County until he left for college and medical training.
Dr. Sapp enjoys practicing full-spectrum rural medicine. He does inpatient admissions at Erlanger Bledsoe Hospital and sees outpatients in clinic. He and his partners also attend to patients at several local nursing homes.
Dr. Sapp is married to Dr. Jennifer Alvarez who practices pediatrics at Erlanger Bledsoe. They have three children.
Dr. Sapp and his family enjoy being outside in our beautiful southern Appalachian Mountains camping, hiking, and canoeing.
