About / Overview

Dr. Abhinaya Jawahar is board-certified in internal medicine and specializes in endocrinology. She also serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine for UT Health Science Center College of Medicine—Chattanooga.

Following medical school at Madras Medical College in Chennai, India, Dr. Jawahar completed an internal medicine residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts, and an endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism fellowship at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky. She is a member of the American College of Physicians, Endocrine Society, American Diabetes Association, American Association of Clinical Endocrinology, and American Thyroid Association.
